The winner was selected by the ATAS (Academy of Television Arts and Sciences) based on performances between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022. The 74th Primetime Emmy was held on Monday, September 12, 2022. The entire event was produced by the Done and Dusted and the Hudlin team. In April 2022, the ATAS team (Academy of Television Arts and Sciences), announced that they would be organizing an event for September 12, 2022. The event was preceded by a Creative Arts ceremony, which took place on the 3rd or 4th of September 2022. The ceremony was hosted by Kenan Thompson, and the announcement took place on August 9, 2022.

The event was held at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California, almost two years after its original date. The organizers had to halt the event due to Covid-19. They had previously approached Chris Rock and Dwayne to host the show before Kenan Thompson accepted to host it. However, they weren’t satisfied with their offer. The list of nominees was finally announced on July 12, 2022. There are many great prime shows on the list like Succession and Ted Lasso as well as The White Lotus.

Where can I watch the Emmys ?

The most awaited event was aired live by NBC, and streamed live via the peacock streaming site at 8 p.m. ET. Those who are interested can also watch the entire event on YouTube TV or Hulu. The show was also broadcast on Sling TV and Direct TV by the organizers. Fubo TV was not included in the broadcast. Succession received the most nominations this year; they enlisted them to receive 25 category nominations. The list nominations were also dominated by HBO Max and HBO Max, who have 140 nominations each.
