On Sunday night, a head-on accident in Palo Alto County in northern Iowa resulted in one person being killed and another being injured. According to the Patrol State of Iowa a Chevy- Silverado 2011 pickup truck driven by Brian Freeman of Garner, 45, was struck and killed at 10:07 pm. He was driving on the Highway 18 to the west and approaching a small right-hand bend in the road.
The 2006 Chevy Trailblazer SUV was heading eastbound when the vehicle crashed into it. It failed to follow the curve’s path and veered off the center line before colliding with the Chevy Trailblazer SUV. The Landon Schiek collision was fatal, according to the Patrol State of Iowa.
