The crew shared on social media that they would close the business on Tuesday to mourn the passing of Jelani Porter, a friend and colleague.

The Investigation

MADISON COUNTY. Miss. (WJTV). — According to the authorities, an investigation has been launched after a corpse was found in Lake Caroline Tuesday morning.

Alex Breeland, Madison County on Caroline Drowning Lake said that a corpse of a man was discovered just before 9:00 am. According to Madison County Sheriff’s Office information, the deceased has been identified by 18-year old Jelani.

The Arrest

Olive Branch police arrested two people during a failed attempt to carjack. After receiving a call that indicated that someone might have drowned, crews were sent to Lake Caroline on July 4. An owner of an Ice-cream Parlor was identified as the dead body found in Caroline Lake.

The search for the missing person was halted by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Caroline Drowning Lake and MDWFP as a result of Monday night’s storms.
