In January 2020, producers announced the development of a sequel for 2018 Bumblebee. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, the film is named and based upon the Beast Wars storyline. It is scheduled to be in cinemas on the 9th of June 2023. It will be the debut installment in a new series of trilogy.
