Technology evolution plays a vital role in sending tourists to space. A few potential, influential technological trends will decide the future for space travel as it makes consistent progress for our planet earth. Welcome to the race of 21st-century space travel, the one that may lead to 12-minute space vacations, orbiting the space motels, hotels & humans on Mars. Now, rather than the warring world’s superpowers battling for space dominance, private organizations are working hard to make the travel of space easier & reasonable in terms of expenses. In 2022 SpaceX acquired a significant milestone, launching humans into the International Space Station (ISS) from the US, while the other goals are working for the star-studded horizon.

Private space flight:

Private space flight is not a new notion. In the US, commercial companies have played a significant role in the aerospace industry right from the beginning of the 1960s. NASA put trust in private contractors to make spacecraft for almost all primary human space travel programs, initiating from Project Mercury & still under process.

For Today, NASA’s Commercial Crew Program is growing on the agency’s relationship with private organizations. NASA is dependent on SpaceX & Boeing to make spacecraft capable of future space travel for humans into orbit. Once those space flights are built, both organizations retain ownership & control over the craft, & NASA can eventually send astronauts into space based on the cost of a seat of Russia’s Soyuz spaceflight.

SpaceX, which set a new standard by creating reusable rockets, has been working on regular cargo resupply missions since 2012 to the ISS. In May 2020, the organization’s Crew Dragon spaceflight carried NASA astronauts Doug Hurley & Bob Behnken to the International Space Station, becoming the 1st crewed mission launched from the US in a decade. The mission known as Demo-2 is scheduled to be back to Earth in August.

The Future of Space expedition:

What would be the future for space travel hold? Currently, almost 70 government space agencies exist, including the US agency, NASA & the European agency (ESA). There are also several commercial firms, like SpaceX. All of the mentioned groups have propositions for the next giant space travel expedition plans.

Back to the Moon:

The Moon is the farthest where humans have moved from Earth. The last time when humans were on the Moon was in 1972, called the crew of Apollo 17. NASA & ESA are working on a new trip to the Moon, called the Artemis mission.

Space Stations:

In the 2020s or 2030s, NASA plans to inaugurate a new space station. This would replace the ISS, which had launched in 1998. By then, the Tiangong space station of China, where the human would have been living.

Conclusion:

Traveling in orbit with Commercial Crew Programs & partnering with private firms to put a step on the lunar surface, NASA hopes to change the economics of space travel by space flights by increasing the competition & driving down the costs. If traveling in space truly becomes expensive & more accessible, private residents may visit space in routine.
