CAT 2022 results will be declared by the IIMs in the first week of January 2023. The candidates must visit the official website, to check the result. Candidates will have to log in via their user ID and password to check the CAT result 2022. The result will include the overall percentile plus score and sectional percentile plus score. The result will be available till December 2023 on the official website of CAT.
- After the declaration of the CAT 2022 result, the cutoff for CAT shall be released along with the list of the toppers by the IIMs. IIMs will shortlist candidates based on the individual CAT cutoff.
- IIMs calculate the CAT result by using the score normalization method.
- Candidates can get admission to 20 IIMs, 7 IITs, and above 500 non-IIM management institutes through their CAT percentile scores.
- The result of CAT 2021 was declared on 3rd January 2022 for 191660 candidates. Out of those candidates, only 9 achieved the 100 percentile.

Important Points: CAT 2022 result
Candidates must go through the critical points, given by the IIMs, regarding CAT result 2022 declaration and about the scorecard downloading process.
- The candidates will be informed via SMS on their registered mobile number about scorecard downloading after the CAT exam result declaration. In addition, the scorecard will not be sent as a hard copy to the candidates, it will be available only online on the official website of CAT.
- CAT results will contain the overall and the sectional scores. The overall raw score is used to calculate the overall scaled score of the candidates. It is not the sum of the scaled scores of the VARC, DILR, and QA sections.
- CAT scorecard will be valid till 31st December 2023.
- Candidates should know that a scorecard does not guarantee admission to any of the IIMs. IIMs and non-IIMs follow a rigorous selection procedure for their MBA/PGDM programmes, after releasing the individual cutoffs.

The candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to check their CAT 2022 results and download the scorecard:
- Visit the official website of CAT.
- Click on ‘CAT Result 2022’ and input your user ID and password to log in.
- Click on ‘IIM CAT Score Card.
- Now you can download your CAT exam result and keep a copy for future reference.
Candidates will also receive an SMS and an email on their registered mobile number and email ID respectively, regarding their result availability and scorecard download. They will be informed about their percentile as well.
Details on the scorecard of CAT 2022
The CAT 2022 scorecard will contain the following details of the candidates:
- User ID of the candidate and registration number of CAT.
- Name, gender, and category of the candidate.
- Date of birth, contact details, and email ID of the candidate.
- Time and date of the CAT examination.
- Overall scaled score, section-wise score, section-wise percentile, and overall percentile of CAT.
IIMs will release their cutoffs on the official website of CAT after the declaration of the CAT 2022 result. The candidates who are eligible for a particular IIM, according to their score and cutoff, will be informed by the respective IIM about the further selection rounds and process. Candidates can also check the shortlisted list of the IIMs by visiting the respective IIMs official website.
