SNAP and IIFT are two of the biggest exams that can help you get an excellent start or boost to your professional career. There are segments of similarity and dissimilarity in regards to the syllabus set for these two prestigious exams.

IIFT

Precisely, IIFT syllabus has 4 segments. Section one is comprised of contents related to Reading Comprehension & Verbal Ability, which is related to your language skills knowledge. Section two, three, and four contains contents related to Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Analysis, and General Awareness respectively.

The Reading Comprehension & Verbal Ability section contains 35 questions with each containing 3 marks. You need to ensure a score of 30 out of 105 to reach the cut-off (Applicable for the General Category).

In section 2, i.e. Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation, you will have 30 questions with each containing 3 marks. You need to ensure a score of 18 out of 90 to reach the cut-off (Applicable for the General Category).

The next segment, i.e. Quantitative Analysis contains 25 questions with each containing 3 marks. You need to ensure a score of 10 out of 75 to reach the cut-off (Applicable for the General Category).

The last segment is a test for your General Awareness. In this segment, you will have 20 questions with each containing 1.5 marks. You need to ensure a score of 6 out of 30 to reach the cut-off (Applicable for the General Category).

In a nutshell, you will have to face 110 questions covering all the segments of the syllabus and the total marks would be 300. For the general Category, a male candidate needs to ensure a score of 120 and a lady candidate needs to reach a score of 115 for the cut-off. However, for OBC Category, boys would require to have a score of 108 and girls must have a score of 103 to reach the threshold.

For SC/ST/ PWD girls and boys the threshold is 85 and 88 respectively.

SNAP

On the contrary, the SNAP exam syllabus has three segments named General English, Analytical & Logical
Reasoning & Quantitative, DI and Data Sufficiency.

The general English segment contains elements related to Sentence Construction skills, Usages of Idioms & Syllogisms, Jumbled paragraphs, analogy, and so on. Apart from that, the reading comprehension would be there to test your knowledge in regards to vocabulary, synonyms & antonyms, substitution words, various usage of the same word, and so on.

This segment would contain 34 questions with a total mark of 51.

Furthermore, the Analytical & Logical Reasoning section contains questions related to Linear and matrix arrangements, Coding & Decoding, Statement & Conclusion, Syllogisms, Assertion and Reasoning, Cause & Effect, and so on.

This segment would contain 36 questions with a total mark of 54.

Next, you will have a segment that covers topics like Quantitative, Data Interpretation, and Data Sufficiency. This is one of the crucial segments of the exam. This is something that will not be a difficult asks for you, provided you are good with the mathematics of the Viii-X standard (This will cover the Quantitative segment). 

Some of the sub-segments are as follow:

For the number System, you will have topics related to Profit & Loss, Probability, Coordinate Geometry, Data Interpretation based on Text, Calendar & Clock, and so on.

For LCM and HCF, there are topics like Permutation & Combination, Logarithm, Graphs & Tables, and Averages, etc.

Apart from that, there would be topics related to Percentages as well. This segment will have 40 questions containing 40 marks.

Therefore, in total in a SNAP exam, you will face 105 questions containing a total of 150 marks.
